Ceremony in Seoul brought together Longsys and Zilia leaders and teams from four countries, along with clients and business partners
Zilia Technologies opened the new Zilia Korea office in Seoul on July 24. The ceremony brought together leaders from Zilia and Longsys, among them Longsys Chairman Cai Huabo, Senior Vice President Milly Cai, Chris Chang, Senior Vice President of Longsys Americas, and Rogério Nunes, CEO of Zilia. Clients and business partners of the Korean operation also attended the event.
The ceremony was opened by Vincent, Country Manager of Zilia Korea, who thanked the leaders, teams and partners present. In his remarks, he introduced the concept behind the new office: “A Space Built for Collaboration” — a meeting point for people, ideas, technical expertise and business opportunities.
Remarks followed from Chris Chang, Senior Vice President of Longsys and head of the Americas region, and Rogério Nunes, CEO of Zilia. Both highlighted the importance of collaboration across the group’s regions and organizations, and the expectation that the Korean office will consolidate its role as a bridge between Zilia’s global capabilities and the local market.
“South Korea is one of the leading centers of the global memory and semiconductor industry. Strengthening our presence there brings Zilia closer to important technical expertise, market trends and opportunities for collaboration. That connection expands our capacity to innovate and to deliver increasingly competitive solutions to our clients,” said Rogério Nunes.
Cai Huabo closed the round of speeches with a toast in which he underscored South Korea’s potential within the group and the country’s growing role in the company’s long-term strategy. Zilia is part of the Longsys group, which brings together semiconductor and memory brands and operations across Asia, the Americas and Europe, including Lexar.
The ceremony also featured a symbolic ribbon-cutting, joined by executives, employees and guests, formally marking the beginning of a new phase for the Korean operation.
More than a change of address, the opening reflects Zilia’s decision to strengthen its presence in South Korea, support the development of new business and build closer relationships with clients, partners and teams across regions.
